Dustmites and carpet

I live in an apartment with carpet. I am allergic to dust mites and want to find a flooring (or something)to lay over the carpet as this is not my own property. Any Suggestions?

In all my years of remodeling, I can not recall ever installing another floor over the existing carpet.  I have never seen any type of flooring intended for installation over carpet.  In Googling "controlling dust mites in carpet", there were several web sites that pertain to this issue.  Some included various carpet cleaning treatments to control dust mites.  As an allergy sufferer, I can feel your pain.  Good luck.
