Ball park to remodel a basement

What is a typicall cost range to finish a 1,000 sqft. basement with minimum frills? Or what is the average cost per sqft. I would to finish our baement, but before we waste everybodys time a cost range would be helpful. Thanks.

I think you will find estimates anywhere from $25/sf to $75/sf and on up from there.  Our basements usually start out in the $50 to $60/sf range.  We have done some basements that approach close to $150/sf.  It will depend on the level of finish and the type of service you are expecting from the remodeling company that you choose.
