can you replace kitchen cabinets without disturbing the granite countertops?

If you are going to replace the lower cabinets, the granite tops will have to be removed.  We have remodeled kitchens where we were planning on reusing the tops.  We had the tops removed and reset upon completion and everything turned out perfect.  We did use an experienced granite top fabricator to do the work.  Be careful, granite can be pretty brittle.
